Hello, Office Insiders! My name is Aarti Nankani, and I’m a Program Manager on the Office Release and Deliver Experiences team. I’m excited to announce the availability of Incident Notifications for IT Admins. This feature is a new way to communicate in Outlook. The new capability will keep administrators informed about ongoing incidents within the tenant. In addition, status updates will be shared as they become available.

Incident Notifications

Microsoft 365 tenant global administrators and Office Apps administrators will be notified when incidents affecting their users have been detected. A pane will open automatically on the right side of the app window in Outlook for Windows and provide information.

We typically release features over some time to ensure that things are working smoothly. This is true for Insiders as well. We highlight features that you may not have because they’re slowly releasing to larger numbers of Insiders. Sometimes we remove elements to further improve them based on your feedback. Though this is rare, we also reserve the option to pull a feature entirely out of the product, even if you, as Insiders, have had the opportunity to try them.
