Hi, Office Insiders! My name is Eleanor Huynh and I am a Program Manager on the PowerPoint team. I’m excited to share with you some updates that make it easier to unhide slides in PowerPoint based on your feedback.

Unhide slides

Up until now, it was unclear how to show a slide that had been hidden because the command name did not change depending on the state of the slide. It remained Hide Slide, even when the selected slide was already hidden.

We heard from many of you that this experience was confusing! And we agree with your feedback. So, we’ve updated the command name so that it reads Unhide Slide when the selected slide is currently hidden.

How it works

  1. Open an existing presentation that contains a hidden slide in PowerPoint for Windows.
  2. Right-click the hidden slide and notice the Unhide Slide command in the shortcut menu.

Availability

This feature is available in Beta Channel users running Version 2202 (Build 14931.30000) or later for Windows.

Don’t have it yet? It’s probably us, not you.

We typically release features over some time to ensure that things are working smoothly. This is true for Insiders as well. We highlight features that you may not have because they’re slowly releasing to larger numbers of Insiders. Sometimes we remove elements to further improve them based on your feedback. Though this is rare, we also reserve the option to pull a feature entirely out of the product, even if you, as Insiders, have had the opportunity to try them.
