Hi, Office Insiders! My name is Aaron Liu. I’m a Product Manager on the Forms team, focused on the Polls app in Teams. I’m excited to share with you a new feature, Multi-Question polls, which enables you to collect a broader range and volume of feedback more quickly and effectively.
Multi-Questions polls
Many of you use the Polls app today to take the pulse of your audience and collect data. You do so by creating multiple polls ahead of time, and then launching them at different times during the meeting.
But there are times when you may need to bundle multiple polls and launch them at the same time, to gather different types of feedback about the same topic or feedback about different but related topics. Using Multi-Questions polls, you can do both by combining any poll types available today.
How it works
- Prior to the start of a meeting for which you are the organizer, click Polls> New Poll, and then click Add question at the bottom of the Polls window.
2. To switch question types, click current question drop down arrow and select the one you want to use.
3. To delete a poll question, click the trash can icon in the top right corner.
NOTE: Multi-questions poll can include a maximum of 9 questions.
4. As the meeting organizer, launch a Multi-Question poll during a Teams meeting by clicking the Launch button in Polls pane.
5. As a meeting attendee, answer the poll questions, one at a time, using the arrows at the bottom of the page to move through, and then click the Submit button.
NOTE: Responses to all questions are submitted when all answers have been provided and the Submit button has been clicked – not one at a time.
6. To view poll results, as the meeting organizer, click the arrows at the bottom of the page to move through.
7. To reply to poll questions or review poll results in the chat, as an attendee, check the Chat window and click the View poll button.
Also, note that meeting attendees can respond to Multi-Questions polls on their mobile device.
