Hi, Office Insiders! My name is Devin Sinha, and I’m a Program Manager on the Release and Delivery Experiences team. I’m pleased to announce the preview of Feedback for Microsoft 365 apps and services, a new community feedback experience from Microsoft.

Feedback for Microsoft 365

Built on Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Feedback is the one place where users can go to provide feedback about Microsoft 365 apps and services. From there, they can submit new feedback for the community, weigh in on items posted by others, or comment on existing topics.

Starting today, the preview of Feedback is available for Microsoft 365 apps and services as well as Microsoft Edge. It will later be available for Windows and other products.

How it works

In the My feedback section, users can view feedback they’ve submitted publicly using the Feedback portal, or private feedback they’ve given Microsoft using the mechanisms available in-app. Therefore, users can see the impact and status of their feedback by viewing official responses from the Microsoft teams working on the related products and services.

Users can access the Feedback portal whether they’re on a desktop or mobile device, across platforms. They can also continue sending feedback from within apps, where it is available.

Q&A

  • Who can use the new Feedback portal?

Anyone can go to https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com and view feedback about Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Edge products and services.

  • Who can use Feedback for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Edge?

The new feedback experience is available to AAD and MSA users, including consumers, SMB, commercial, and EDU customers.

  • Is Feedback available in all geographies and languages?

At launch, Feedback is available to all customers in all geographies in English only. Support for other languages is planned for next calendar year.

  • Do you plan to add more products beyond Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Edge in future?

We are committed to making Feedback a central portal for feedback about many other Microsoft products in future. We will share more details at a later date.

  • Is Feedback replacing UserVoice sites Microsoft used previously to collect feedback?

Microsoft has partnered with UserVoice, a third-party service, to communicate with customers and collect feedback. We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites throughout the 2021 calendar year on a product-by-product basis. Learn more

  • What is the SLA for a feedback response from Microsoft?

We do not have a committed SLA to provide responses to each feedback submitted to us. We strive to respond as promptly as possible.

  • What is the difference between leaving comments using the Feedback feature in the app versus going to the Feedback portal?

Using the Feedback portal, users can leave feedback and see status information from Microsoft. They can also participate in community discussion about their and others’ ideas and suggestions.
